I am Alba Gómez Gil, a trainer and consultant specialized in diversity, equity and inclusion..
My mission is to facilitate diversity management for companies and organizations, in order to create more inclusive and safe work environments where the staff feels comfortable, motivated and generates a positive impact.
I'm going to tell you how I got here
I started university wanting to be a diplomat, that’s why I decided to study a Degree in International Relations. But soon I realized that I didn’t had compound surnames and the political sphere was not my thing either. In fact, my real motivation was people (and social justice, to be honest!).
I completed my final year of university in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and did an internship at the International Committee of the Red Cross, in the Restoring Family Links’ Program. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that internship recognized once I returned to Spain and I had to do another internship. But what at that time seemed like a drama ended up being a gift of life.
I joined an NGO where I have been for more than 7 years, managing international cooperation projects for development in several countries in Africa and Latin America.
My experience working in the defense of human rights, in women empowerment and in the prevention of violence led me to enroll in a Master’s degree in Sexology and Gender at the Sexpol Foundation and Nebrija University, where I am now a teacher.
There I discovered my true vocation for gender issues, diversity (especially LGTBIQA+ or sexual and gender diversity) and inclusion.
Since then, I have been devoting to what really motivates me: I help companies improve their environments by developing the social skills of their staff and management teams or through specific training on gender, diversity and inclusion issues; I also go to educational centers to teach comprehensive sexuality education for students, families and teachers; I participate as an expert in international cooperation, humanitarian action or social inclusion projects and consultancies; and I teach at the university.

Experiential training based on Kolb’s learning cycle: experimentation, reflection, conceptualization and application of what has been learned. I combine consistent theoretical models with dynamics, games, role playing and fun exercises, while providing useful and concrete resources and tools.
Online
Same essence as in- face to face training, but fully adapted to the online environment thanks to virtual tools.
